In Mold Label

What is In Mold Label? In its simplest sense, a pre-printed and die-cut Polypropylene (PP) film is placed into a mold. Subsequently, molten PP is introduced into the mold, combining with the label to produce a final product decorated with high print quality.

Compared with traditional pressure-sensitive labels, IML labels offer the following advantages:
1. Permanent Integration
IML labels become an integral part of the container during the molding process rather than being applied afterward. This eliminates the risk of edge lifting, bubbling, or label detachment.

2. Improved Appearance
IML provides a “no-label look,” delivering a premium, seamless appearance without visible edges or wrinkles.

3. Higher Production Efficiency
Labeling occurs during the molding cycle, eliminating the need for a separate labeling process and reducing labor and equipment requirements.

4. Enhanced Sustainability
IML typically uses the same material as the container , supporting mono-material packaging and improving recyclability.
